Baby Vend is a cutting edge patented and trademarked vending machine company located in Anchorage Alaska designed to help parents traveling with small children by providing convenient supplies on demand! Founded in 2015 by Jasmin Smith a single mother of twins who found herself in the quite the predicament, she was determined to create solutions. By carefully researching and analyzing the market we were able to create a company that uniquely fits a niche by providing custom technology, strategic products, and a unique business model to encourage growth and entrepreneurship and most importantly happy families.

Baby Vend’s mission is to be the leader in introducing innovative, quality vending machines and supplies to the market. Through close customer contact and excellent relationships, we will meet the needs of our customers wherever we can. We will add value to our community by maintaining a friendly, familial work environment and entrepreneurial commitment to grow businesses for parents and interested individuals by allowing our machines to be leased or franchised.
Our goal is to put the FUN back in family by providing families with supplies when they need it most.

“You just gotta know that you’re going to make sacrifices … but you can do anything,” she said.
Smith is a multifaceted entrepreneur. Named a 2017 Top 40 Under 40 by the Alaska Journal of Commerce, she runs The Business Boutique, a certified, licensed small business development firm that handles everything from business plans to taxes. A member of the Association of Accredited Business Consultants, she organizes monthly networking events and the Alaska Black Business Expo at the Dena’ina Center and the annual Business Development Resource Fair at the Northway Mall. She’s taught classes through University of Alaska Anchorage’s Small Business Development Center.
Through the Alaska Music Leaders Association, she works to help local entertainers develop professional careers. She helps coordinate the entertainment for the Pride Festival and the Mountain View Block Party, and helps organize the AK Hip Hop and R&B Awards and the AK Music and Entertainment Expo.
When she’s not teaching, organizing, developing and consulting, acts as the president of the Mountain View Community Council and raises twins.
What keeps her going?
“People always complain about what’s not right in their neighborhood, and they complain about Mountain View, but they don’t come to the meetings; they don’t say anything,” Smith said. “So, my thought was, I don’t want to be one of those people who just complains. I want to be a part of the solution. I want my kids to see that I’m trying to be a part of the solution.”

Don grew up in Anchorage with an eye for design and artistic expression. This led him down the path to starting his own creative agency in 2004 and his work and reputation have become well known and continue to grow exponentially. He recently became a father and now juggles the joy of daddy-hood with the excitement of running Alaska's most sought after design and branding agency. Seeing clients needs turn into ideas and then bloom into bold and engaging brands is something that makes him very proud.

Business Development and Management Assistant
Joy Crane was born and raised in Alaska. She graduated from Dimond High School in 2004. Joy is C++ certified and has a love of computers, web design, and social media management. Joy loves being a mom to 3 children and wife to her husband, Thomas. She loves vacationing in Hawaii and spend hours on the beach or in the surf. She enjoys camping, fishing, dining out, time with family, make up, and drinking coffee.
Casey Duer, Product and Packaging Manager
Casey Duer is a freelance organizer, packaging and product coordinator and a mom of 3 fabulous kids. She has been working with small businesses since 2013, and began working on coordinating in 2015. Casey is looking forward to working with Baby Vend on finding great products to share with other parents in Anchorage Ak and beyond.
Human Resources Manager
Kayla R. Green is a lifelong Alaskan, she has known Jasmin since elementary school and both are 2004 graduates of Chugiak High School. After high school Kayla obtained a Bachelors in Psychology from Brigham Young University Idaho and a Masters in Human Resources Management from Utah State University. Kayla worked in healthcare as a supervisor, manager, and program director. She has recently switched fields and is now working in Real Estate. Kayla loves her family and community. She enjoys fishing, camping, woodwork, auto mechanics, photography, movies, dining out, and time with loved ones.
